Chennai One was started in 2006 as a World class IT SEZ with an aim to offer IT clients with high quality infrastructure, secure work environment and a well designed office spaces. It was planned to have the single largest floor plate in Chennai city and continues to hold that distinction. The vision of the founders was to a build an efficient, locationally advantageous and long term asset. Chennai One has achieved that goal. 

Understanding the market– IN the year 2005 , the founders of Chennai One found that the market was not catering to the clients exponential growth. Large IT companies needed large campuses with robust infrastructure. The market consisted of standalone building on small parcels of land with minimal infrastructure that did not meet the standards of the IT companies. The founders understood the need and stepped in , with a product that addressed the market demand. Chennai One Alpha , the first block built in 2006 was 100% leased in 2007.
